This past Friday my mom, sisters and I canned apples into applesauce. It was a fun learning experience. Applesauce is definitely not that hard to make, especially with the separator that we had for the apples, it took all the peels and seeds out and churned the cooked apples into applesauce that we then just put in jars and processed, super easy! It took us the whole day, but it was worth it!!!! A fun day spent with the girls.

The Max Man!!! We were so glad that Katie and Max were able to come this weekend and hang out and can with us. (We were also glad that Kris came along too, it was good to see him for the weekend).

The FINISHED PRODUCT!!!! DOESN'T IT LOOK LOVELY!!!!The fruits of our labors. It was a fun, busy, long day, but very worth it! Maybe next year we will have the system down and it won't take quite as long:) Thanks girls for a fun day!

I canned applesauce the hard way. I did all of the peeling by hand. Thankfully I have 2 girls that will help me with all of that. oh and we only had 2 boxes to do.
looks like you had a fun time with your sisters! Makes me want to have a big get together with all of them. The applesauce looks great! You'll have to teach me how to make some next season. Oh and we need to get together for the month of November!
why do we all look so pasty already? I'm depressed about that!!
WOW! THe finsihed product looks great. How nice that you could spend your time canning with you family.
It was quite fun! We will have to do it again next year, and maybe add a few more things to go along with the applesauce. We are becoming so domesticated....I bet our husbands think they are in an alternate universe or something!
Looks like you all had fun. I'm definately not a domestic girl. I think Todd would be scared if I told him I was going to do some canning. I think sewing a button on is about as domestic I get. Sad and pathetic huh!!!
